A modern, 4,000 square foot new home build on the rugged coastline of Friendship, Maine. This beautiful home boasts expansive ocean and harbor views, perfect for a homeowner who is an artist and entertainer that requested grand ceilings, an elevator, full wine cellar, and ample entertaining space.These luxury elements were to be placed within a contemporary cottage design to match the classic feel of a coastal Maine home. 

On the exterior of the home, the Sarah Jefferys team designed multiple decks on different floor levels along with large sliding glass doors to maximize the stunning views and link the interior to the ocean beyond. The house gracefully integrates within Maine’s luscious landscape, tucked away into the trees while ensuring natural light reaches the home. The homeowners (buyer/client? needs consistency) are able to embrace eco-conscious living by utilizing solar panels, thus giving back to the environment that surrounds them.

The interior design of the home is comfortable, clean, and contemporary with high ceilings and plentiful windows to let the natural sunlight and surrounding views shine. A nook bar, large kitchen, and plentiful seating were added to offer the desired entertaining space which allows guests to gather, celebrate, and be serenaded with opera performances by the homeowner.
