Landmark Townhouse Renovation with Modern Addition

Nestled Park Slope, this Brooklyn townhouse seamlessly blends history and modernity. This beautiful landmarked Italianate mansion has undergone a meticulous complete renovation that carefully restores its grandeur while introducing contemporary elements and a new modern addition to elevate the living experience to new heights.

The Sarah Jefferys team first made architectural updates to the home, adding a rear addition with corner glass windows to bring in additional natural light and increase living space. This infusion of light transforms the interior, creating an ethereal ambiance that complements the stately nature of the original structure. We also completely replaced the windows on the rest of the home to improve the efficiency of the historic townhouse. 

Inside the home, the rear addition houses a gym on the top floor, the primary bedroom and bathroom on the middle floor, and a light-infused breakfast nook on the ground floor. On the opposite end of the home, the original staircase was restored, serving as a harmonious link between the old and the new. Throughout the entirety of the townhouse, a clean, contemporary palette of whites and blues brightens the space, with occasional pops of color in the accents: deep blue and bright orange cushions in the dining nook, a vibrant pendant light, and fun decor pieces. 

The completed project stands as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of the past and the present, contemporary and classic, culminating in a timeless masterpiece that will continue to inspire awe for generations to come.
